A couple of weeks ago Dalton and mommy met some of our other playdate pals at the Edmond Historical Society Museum...they have a great kids museum! I highly recommend it and the best part is it's FREE! It was freezing cold that day and was great that we were able to let the kids run around crazy somewhere other than our living rooms. There was a lot of opportunity for pretend play and Dalton is REALLY into that right now! There is a grocery store, bank, house, jail, train station plus colors, building blocks, etc. all for FREE! After this playdate we met another friend and her little girl Madelyn for lunch at Chick-fil-a...where Dalton broke his arm this past summer! And yes he will still tell you all about it...luckily it was WAY TOO COLD to go outside and play! This mommy would have been a bit nervoust...but Dalton was ready to go back out and play! Madelyn is super sweet and pretty darn cute too...she is about 6 months older than Dalton...we should play with them more often! She told Dalton all about her barbies...of course Dalton already knows about barbies thanks to his girl cousins!
Just a couple of pics that captured a few fun moments...
Luke, Maddy and Dalton in the digging area...it's rubber mulch! NO MESS...great idea!
Dalton doing one of his favorite activities...hauling stuff with his wheelbarrow! Check out the REAL animal skins hanging up...really grossed me out and I think Dalton too!
Maddy and Dalton setting up or tearing down the train tables!
Last week we were supposed to have a fairly large playdate Christmas party but it got canceled due to one of the little guys having strep! Mommy's friend Katie and her two kids Maddy and Luke decided to come on over and we had a PJ's and presents playdate with pizza! The kids exchanged their gifts to each other and were pretty sweet...this mommy would have taken pictures but my house was such a mess that I had no idea where my camera was...and Dalton would have probably just screamed at me anyway...ha ha! We LOVE LOVE LOVE our big playdates with all of our friends but it was also nice to have a smaller setting for Dalton...he still gets a little overwhelmed in BIG GROUPS! He kept saying we need to have Maddy come back over and play and it was so cute when they were here because Dalton and baby Luke were just chasing each other around and around and just giggling! They got along really well and Dalton shared pretty well and wanted them to see his BIG BOY bed:)
We also got together with some of our old neighbors who have moved out of state last week! We miss them and were so excited that they made time to come by and play while they were in town visiting...and I got a few pics...not the best but I got some! They were very busy...Carter is a year older than Dalton and Graham is almost a year and a half (I think)! Dalton really came out of his shell with Carter this time...he is usually SO SHY! This time Carter told me that he had never heard Dalton talk so much...and he was right! Eventually all the neighbors were out...just like old times:)
Dalton and Carter going round and round...chasing each other...good times!
They stopped for a brief moment so I could snap a picture...CHEESE!
Carrie and Graham...what a cutie!
Jonas and Andy...he's a lucky little guy that he didn't get ran over with the big boys on the tractor. He was having fun pushing the tricycle! Andy is always good with the younger kids in the neighborhood!
