Happy Halloween!

It is hard to believe that Dalton is celebrating another Halloween!
What a snugly little bear he was last year...8 months old!Rowdy Cowboy who was not very interested in posing for pictures...20 months old!
Still pretty snugly even without the bear costume!
Last night we took Dalton to the annual trick or treat at OC! He did pretty good...and everyone thought he was so sweet...because he was being SO SHY! He didn't say "trick or treat" he would just get the candy and say "bye-bye"! We are trick or treating with Dalton's friends tonite over in one of their neighborhoods and we will let you know how that goes in a later post!

DALTON & ZOE...WHAT A PAIR!

Dalton and his Grandparent's Chinese Pug Zoe have become fast friends! Especially when it comes to eating...Dalton loves to snack on crackers at Grandma & Grandpa's house and he loves to share them with Zoe! He does this either by just giving it to her which is fine with him or when he accidentally drops it and she snatches it which he is not always so fine with. Either way today they took their love of snacking to a new level!Dalton hand fed Zoe every piece of her dog food...he was very insistent that she eat every single bite! Luckily Dalton hasn't tried any of the dog food yet...that I am aware of anyway!?!?!?
While my mom was out of town the past couple of weeks my sister and I have been taking turns letting Zoe out in the middle of the day! And when Grandma gets home from visiting her Mom she may have a very spoiled Pug on her hands! We miss Grandma and we hope that she hurries home soon!

SCOOP IT UP & POUR IT OUT!

I think that I talked about in an earlier post how Dalton loves to scoop up sand and pour it out! Well apparently he likes to do that with Grandma's bird seed too! He was quite a helper while his Grandma was out of town visiting his Great Grandma! Playing with the bird seed!
Trying to help mommy with the bird seed!
Not really helping mommy just helping himself...ha ha:)

SNAP CRACKLE POP!

I am constantly looking for new foods for Dalton to try!
Especially breakfast...this morning we tried rice krispie cereal in a bowl with milk. I kept trying to help him hear the snap, crackle, pop but I am not sure if he ever did:( I think we needed a bigger bowl of cereal to get the full effect. He had fun trying to eat it...he kept scooping up a big bunch and not being able to fit it in his mouth...he was getting a little frustrated! Pretty successful bite...mouth open WIDE!
It was a little bit messy but he had a good time and a little nutrition...
what more could a mom ask for!

IT'S NICE TO KNOW YOUR NEIGHBORS!

Last weekend Daddy and Dalton went for a walk around the neighborhood and ran into a neighbor cleaning out their garage. He stopped and asked if Dalton wanted a set of golf clubs that his daughter had outgrown...that is so nice! So Daddy and Dalton went right to the back yard to check out the golf bag and clubs and there were even golf balls and tees for practice. I am not sure who was having more fun Daddy or Dalton. Dalton is VERY EXCITED about his new putter and golf ball!
I guess golf can be a dangerous sport...oops!

TGIF!

After a week of runny noses and cold weather we were glad to be feeling better and get out and about! I treated Dalton and myself to a morning at Unpluggits...not sure about the spelling! For those of you who have not been...it's an indoor playground, arts, crafts and games! And at $4.50 for kids under 3 it's a steal of a deal:) Dalton played happily for over an hour and as you can tell he was way to focused on his play to waste time taking pictures! He is very much into the pouring sand in and dumping sand out of whatever he can find!
This was something new for him and just his size...the only problem was that he kept stealing the tiny soccer ball and wanting to kick it with his feet!

Chalk was fun but the BIG CHAIR that spins around that he is sitting in was MUCH MORE fun!

NO MATTER HOW COLD IT IS OUTSIDE!

Running & jumping on the couch is never a good idea! OOPS...I promise no one was seriously hurt in the taking of these pictures...he was rather surprised when he stepped off the couch and fell to the ground below! Luckily there was a pillow that he landed on! The look on his face was priceless but I was being a good mommy and making sure he was okay and didn't get a picture of his "what just happened to me face"!
It started out innocent enough...Dalton sitting on the couch watching Sesame Street with a couple of his stuffed animal friends! Then it progressed to...look mommy I have found something fun to do that doesn't require us going outside in the cold...playing on the couch! And mommy fell for it long enough to grab the camera and get a few pics because he was having SO MUCH FUN!

SMOOCH!

Dalton has recently decided that it is okay to give kisses...
here he is giving his daddy a BIG SMOOCH! SO SWEET!
And below Daddy is getting one of Dalton's famous pat pat pat's that he LOVES to give!

ORR FAMILY FARM...HERE WE COME!

What a fantastic day for our family outing...the weather was great...in the 60's with lots of sunshine! We met Dalton's cousins, two of his aunts, one uncle and his Pa this morning for his first visit to the Orr Family Farm. I did my best to get some good pictures but he is a boy on the move and he doesn't stay in one place for very long. There aren't any pictures of him with the animals but he did pet a sheep and a BIG FAT pig! He saw some goats and a rabbit or two and that was about it..he was really EXCITED about the CHOO CHOO train!Yes, SO EXCITED about the train that he wouldn't even take his eyes off of it for a picture...Dad has a good smile though:)

Dalton and the cousins!

Giddy Up! But don't forget to hold on tight!

Boy this is hard work...

Apparently it is much easier when you sit down...not really age appropriate for a 1.5 year old so luckily daddy was there to help with the maneuvering.

RANDOM PICS OF DALTON!

Is it a FASHION STATEMENT or is it a...
THINKING CAP! Busy signing cards for his aunt and uncle for their birthdays!

He loves his new "locks & latches" puzzle...perfect for nosey little boys who like to figure out how every little thing works!

Busy little fingers...the first latch he got open!

FIRE ENGINE VISIT!

Dalton is a lucky little boy! One of his aunt's is a teacher at a local pre-school and they were having a visit from the fire dept. to learn about fire safety. And she was kind enough to invite us to join them! However, the moment we walked in the door Dalton started crying...I am assuming that he was having flash backs from Sunday school...he's not a fan:( I was trying to convince him that I wasn't leaving him there...it took him some time to warm up to his Aunt too! Do you think we are having some seperation anxiety issues...I guess we need to work on that! Back to the fire engine...Dalton said WOO WOO when he saw it! He wasn't interested in sitting in the truck but he was really impressed with the BIG tires! And yes he clung to me like he is in this picture for the majority of the visit...he is definitely a mama's boy!

Better Than Last Week!

NO PICTURES YET...
BUT DALTON'S FRIEND MADDY HAS A BABY BROTHER..LUKE!

We can't wait for our first official play date with our new friend. Dalton was so funny when we went to visit them in the hospital...the minute he saw the nurse in scrubs he started crying...those nurses that give shots have left quite an impression on him...bless his heart! He was fine once she left the room:)

YEAH! DALTON'S OUT OF TOWN GRANDMA CAME TO VISIT! Dalton is such a little gentleman...helping load Grandma's bags when it was time for her to go. He was still sick for the majority of her visit and called her Pa most of the time...Grandma or ma is just not in his vocabulary yet! I think he made up for it with his kisses, hugs and pats...he is very much into giving pats and when he gives them to you he says, "pat pat pat"! Not sure where that came from but it's sweet!

GOOD TIMES WITH A BEAR NAMED TED! Are we ready for dinner guests?
He doesn't normally bring Ted out of the crib...apparently Ted was asking for something to eat!

Our little lefty is getting better with the fork and spoon but I am not sure we are ready for dinner guests! Yummy...messy oatmeal for breakfast!

YES, WE ARE FINALLY GETTING READY FOR FALL AT OUR HOUSE!

Dalton helped me pick out some pumpkins, etc. at my favorite...but over priced place to shop for flowers...Under the Sun!

He is pretty proud of his itty bitty pumpkins!

Who am I kidding...he is still trying to eat everything! When will this stage go bye-bye!?!?!
