It has been like 10 years since I blogged...much to catch up on like a very special 4 year old having a very cool spiderman party with a thousand friends! And many more adventures but today we start with Easter...
These past couple of months we (mommy and Dalton) have been enjoying Children's Bible Hour at church much more than ever. He gets so excited...right after he puts his monetary offering in the plate they put up on the screen these cute penguins and of course the words Children's Bible Hour and he knows it's time to roll on out of big people church. He tells Daddy and usually his Great Uncle Russell good-bye and we head out. He has learned SO MANY songs about Jesus and he has started singing them at home, in the car and at night before he goes to bed. They do A LOT of singing and a little bit of discussing in his class but it has been enough along with the many many many books we check out from the church library for him to get that Easter is about more than just the Easter Bunny this year:) So proud of him and his sweet heart and his prayers to GOD each night and how he prays for his Great Grandma Zahner to get healthy! Believe me he still enjoys and talks about his chocolate bunnies that the Easter bunny left him but he also gets that Jesus is an amazing man and a very real part of his life. The other day he asked me if that when Jesus comes back to Earth if he would come to Oklahoma? He has a million questions...I think I am going to set up some weekly appointments with our wonderful Preacher Rob this summer...just kidding!
This year Dalton wanted to visit the Easter Bunny at the mall so we did and got a cute picture taken...YEAH! And then on Easter Eve and ALL Easter Day and perhaps even the next day we got the rain that we had ALL been praying for...YIPPEE! Other than the fact that we had to hunt eggs inside it was marvelous! After Dalton woke up we checked out his Easter basket full of goodies and hunted the Easter eggs he had dyed and left for the Easter Bunny as well as the chocolate bunnies that were hiding too! Dalton opened up every single plastic egg in his basket to see what was inside...there were tons of jelly beans, etc. on the floor. We met up with Dalton's Grandma Beverly and Pa as well as Aunt Dawn, Uncle Todd and their girls at the grandparents house for yummy Chicken, mashed potatoes, coleslaw and Grandma's annual super cute BUNNY CAKE! We exchanged a few spring gifts between the kids and then hunted Easter eggs inside.
Just a few pics...
